Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality. You will support medication administration with modern bar-scanning and documentation tools, and document care at the point of care.

The role requires an active New Jersey nursing license, BLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS, with 2+ years in critical care, telemetry, and ventilator experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license is required.
• BLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS certification is required.
• BSN strongly preferred and/or willing to acquire within three years of hire.
• A minimum of 2 years of critical care recent experience is required.
• Telemetry experience required.
• Ventilator experience is required.
• Prior PACU/recovery experience is preferred.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and work in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team.
• Medication administration with bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Point-of-Care electronic documentation of assessments, plan-of-care, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family centered education to optimize health and disease management.
• Multi-disciplinary discharging to ensure safe transitions of care.
