Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Manahawkin, NJ seeks a Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit to provide evidence-based, patient-centered care in a collaborative hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has a BSN or is willing to obtain one within three years, at least two years of critical care and telemetry experience, and current NJ nursing licensure with BLS/ACLS/PALS certification. Per diem schedule and electronic documentation support flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications

• BSN strongly preferred and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of critical care recent experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Ventilator experience required
• Prior PACU/recovery experience preferred
• Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required
• BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification required
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Communicate ongoing patient status and treatment plans with healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health and wellness.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary discharging of patients for safe transitions.
