Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced RN for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick. The role focuses on high-acuity patient care, including EKG interpretation, central line management, and advanced respiratory support.

You will work with PCNAs, interns, providers, and therapy teams in a 14-bed unit. The ideal candidate will hold Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and have demonstrated critical thinking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Interpret EKGs and monitor cardiac status.
• Provide Central Line care and line management.
• Support with BiPAP, High Flow Oxygen, Trach/Vents as needed.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management on unit.
