Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at MetroHealth Main Campus–Glick. The role requires strong cardiovascular skills and the ability to work rotating shifts in a high-acuity setting.

The RN will perform EKG interpretation, central line care, support with BiPAP and high-flow oxygen, and assist with bedside procedures. Collaboration with PCNAs, interns, providers, PT/OT is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the Critical Care Step Down Unit 7 West.
• Interpret EKGs and manage central line care.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
• Collaborate with Patient Care Nursing Assistants, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, OT.
