Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the MetroHealth Main Campus- Glick. You will provide direct patient care in a 14-bed unit, perform EKG interpretation, and assist with bedside procedures in a high-acuity environment.

The role requires Ohio RN licensure; BLS and ACLS are required or obtained within specified timelines. Shifts include 7a–7p and 7p–7a with rotating weekends/holidays and bi-weekly hours totaling 72.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA BLS for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit 7 West (14 beds).
• Interpret EKGs and monitor telemetry.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation and time management.
