Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network is seeking a night-shift Coordinator to manage evaluation, authorization, medical management and distribution of deceased donor organs for transplantation or research in Illinois. The role involves collaborating with hospital teams, documenting clinical information, and coordinating with families and transplant centers.

The position requires an Associate's Degree in a healthcare field, with critical care experience; bachelor's preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering critical care medicine and donor coordination.
• Able to communicate with donor families compassionately.
• Competent in ICU/OR equipment and medical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work 12 hour night shift (7PM-7AM).
• Evaluate potential organ/tissue donors using hospital records.
• Document clinical information clearly and timely.
• Communicate with families and external partners about donation.
• Obtain authorization for donation and coordinate medical management.
• Coordinate surgical recovery and distribution of donor organs.
