Job summary

Gift of Hope Organ & Tissue Donor Network coordinates the evaluation, medical management, surgical recovery and distribution of organs from deceased donors for transplantation or research. The role involves ICU-level coordination, collaboration with hospital teams, and compassionate communication with donor families.

The position requires critical care experience, a healthcare-related degree, and the ability to work 12-hour night shifts with a differential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in healthcare field; RN/RT preferred.
• Bachelor’s prepared critical care nurse preferred.
• Experience in critical care settings and organ/tissue processes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential donors through hospital records to determine eligibility.
• Document required clinical information clearly and concisely.
• Coordinate medical management of donors with anesthesia and OR staff.
• Communicate with families to provide information and support.
• Coordinate recovery and distribution of donor organs for transplantation or research.
