Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's RWJUH Rahway Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide advanced care in our Critical Care Unit. This night shift role offers growth, teamwork, and a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, collaborate with physicians, educate patients and families, document in EPIC, and participate in rounds. A NJ RN license, BLS, ACLS, IV certification, and 1–2 years of critical care experience

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing
• IV certification from an approved facility or within 90 days of hire
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• ACLS upon hire or within 6 months
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred
• 1–2 years patient care experience, with critical care experience
• Experience with EMR systems (EPIC)

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for timely decisions
• Educate patients and families to support informed decisions
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity of care
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and promote teamwork
• Contribute to a collaborative environment with shared accountability
• Pursue professional growth through continuing education and career ladders
