RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Critical Care Float Pool in New Brunswick, NJ. This part-time night shift role focuses on comprehensive patient care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• Minimum 1 year of critical care RN experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing strongly preferred or must be completed within 5 years upon hire.
• National Board Certification and ACLS Certification preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers to coordinate timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and preparation for next steps.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary rounds and team communication.
