Job summary

ChristianaCare’s MICU at Christiana Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Intensive Care Unit. You’ll provide expert, compassionate care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, using advanced monitoring and teamwork to support critically ill patients and their families.

This full-time flex position offers 36 hours per week with night shifts and day rotations. Requirements include BSN; ADN considered with BSN commitment within 3 years; 1 year acute care; BLS; ACLS preferred

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• ADN considered with BSN commitment within 3 years.
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience required.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred (must obtain within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Partner with physicians, specialists, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver life‑saving interventions.
• Advocate for patients and families during their most vulnerable moments.
• Use advanced monitoring and treatment strategies to achieve the best outcomes.
