Job summary

Mercy seeks a registered nurse to provide patient-centered care across units, using the nursing process and collaborating with the care team. Mercy standards and patient rights are upheld in every shift.

Graduation from an approved nursing program and an active RN license in the hiring state are required; 1 year ICU/ED/PACU experience is preferred, with BLS and unit-specific certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• RN licensure in hiring state and/or compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
