Job summary

Mercy is seeking a registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process for assigned patients. You will evaluate care effectiveness and coordinate with other departments, upholding patient rights and confidentiality in line with Mercy standards.

Graduates from an approved nursing program will qualify; an active RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure is required, along with BLS and other unit-specific certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• RN license in hiring state or compact licensure required.
• Graduation from a nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire; additional certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Performs duties consistent with Mercy mission, values and service standards.
