Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process, while maintaining accountability and confidentiality. The RN will coordinate patient care with other departments and ensure adherence to Mercy Service Standards and mission.

Candidates must graduate from an approved school of nursing and maintain an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact license. BLS is required or to be completed within 30 days of hire, with unit-specific certifications possibly

Qualifications

Graduate from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Maintain current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure as required.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion within 30 days of hire.
One or more unit-specific certifications may be required based on position/unit.

Responsibilities

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
Performs duties in a manner consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
