Job summary

Mercy seeks a dedicated registered nurse to provide patient care using the nursing process, maintaining patient rights and confidentiality, and coordinating care with other departments. The role requires graduation from a nursing program (AD, Diploma, or BSN) and a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.

Experience in ICU, ED or PACU is preferred, with BLS and other certifications as required.

Qualifications

• RN license required in hiring state or compact licensure
• Graduation from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN)
• 1 year ICU/ED/PACU experience preferred
• BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients
• Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
