Responsibilities
- Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way.
- Incorporates differences into the provision of care.
- Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education.
- Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery.
- Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes.
- Administers medications according to standard nursing practice.
- Ensures improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development.
Position Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing or equivalent
- At least two years of recent RN acute care experience in ICU or CVICU required
- Alabama Board of Nursing License
- ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of hire date
- BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire date
- PALS within 1 year of hire date
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field (preferred)
- Prefer 2-5 years of Critical Care experience (preferred)
- CCRN within 2 years of DOH or transfer (preferred)
