East Alabama Medical Center in Alabama seeks a qualified registered nurse to provide safe, holistic therapy and educate patients and families throughout the care continuum. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice and medication administration in line with standard nursing care.

The candidate must hold an Alabama RN license with an Associate degree in nursing, plus 2 years of acute care experience. ACLS/BLS/PALS/NIHSS certifications are required or pursued per policy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent.
• 2 years recent acute care experience.
• Required Registration/License/Certification (RN license in Alabama).
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire date.
• PALS within 1 year of hire date (if required in work area).
• NIHSS within 90 days of hire/transfer (EAH to assist with certification completion).
• Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
• Preferred Experience: 5 years of Perioperative experience.
• Preferred Registration/License/Certification: (as applicable).

Utilizes standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery. Incorporates data and information to continuously improve care and practice to enhance outcomes. Administers Medications according to standard nursing practice. Ensure improvements in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent
