Job summary

Pullman Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our ICU team. The role focuses on providing safe, high-quality patient care across populations and may involve crossing to other departments and floating to fill coverage gaps.

The Critical Care RN supports code responses hospital-wide and works within Washington state scope and hospital policies. A successful candidate will hold WA RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS, BSN within one year, and ongoing commitment to specialty education.

Qualifications

• Active WA nursing license in good standing.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Trauma and stroke education completed within specified timelines.
• BSN progress/completion within one year of hire.
• Willingness to float to other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care ensuring safety and quality.
• Gather information to formulate care plans based on assessments.
• Make clinical decisions using nursing judgement to establish plans.
• Communicate and collaborate with patients and colleagues professionally.
• Support code responses and assist in critical situations hospital-wide.
• Adjust staffing assignments to meet patient care needs.
• Stay current with nursing practices and complete competencies timely.
• Demonstrate reliability and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
