Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ICU on nights. You will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, administer meds, monitor patients, and collaborate with the care team in a high-acuity environment.

The RN will engage in ongoing education, participate in life support and code team activities, and educate families about conditions and post-discharge care. Applicants must be licensed and capable of working nights in the ICU.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure in good standing is required.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered care using the nursing process (assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate) per clinical protocols.
• Administers medications and monitors for side effects, documenting administration per standards.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency scope and collaborates on care plans.
• Responds to emergencies (CPR/code team) and participates in performance improvement activities.
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
