Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at the Main Campus. The role involves providing direct patient care to complex ICU-adjacent patients, interpreting EKGs, managing central lines, and supporting ventilator and airway care as needed.

The successful candidate will have Ohio RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and at least 1 year of RN experience for PRN. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and the ability to handle rotating shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
• Current Ohio RN licensure
• BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire; ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 14-bed CC Step Down Unit (7 West).
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies) as needed.
• Monitor patients with telemetry and manage critical care equipment.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, Providers, PT, OT and other team members.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
