Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at MetroHealth Main Campus. The role involves caring for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis, using advanced telemetry and bedside procedures in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, and managing respiratory support (BiPAP, HFNC, Trach/Vents) while demonstrating critical thinking and time management. PRN shifts rotate with weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform EKG interpretation.
• Maintain Central Line care.
• Rescue Bi-pap, High Flow Oxygen, Trach/Vents.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
