Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West, at the Main Campus. The role supports patients with CHF, COPD, DKA and sepsis, using telemetry monitoring, central lines, and advanced airway support. You will collaborate with PCNAs, interns, Providers, PT/OT in a high-tech environment.

Requirements include Ohio RN license, BLS/ACLS, and preferably BSN. Rotating weekends and holidays, with 14-bed unit and bi-weekly hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide EKG interpretation and central line care.
• Rescue Bi-pap, high-flow oxygen, Trach/Vents as needed.
• Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
