Job summary

MetroHealth Main Campus - Glick in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit, 7 West. The role involves EKG interpretation, central line care, and managing patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis on a 12-hour rotating schedule (7a-7p and 7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays.

Ideal candidates will hold Ohio RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and have at least 1 year of RN experience for PRN shifts; BSN and Magnet-certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers or within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification or within 6 months of hire.
• PRN requires 1 year of RN experience.
• PRN must possess all required certifications at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the Critical Care Step Down Unit 7 West.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor telemetry.
• Assist with bedside procedures (e.g., endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
• Manage care for patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and sepsis.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, providers, and therapists.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management.
