Job summary

MetroHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the MetroHealth Main Campus. The role supports patients with CHF, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis, providing advanced monitoring and bedside care.

Responsibilities include EKG interpretation, central line care, and brief procedures. Collaboration with care teams, adherence to ACLS/BLS requirements, and strong clinical judgment are essential to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with current RN licensure in Ohio.
• ACLS and BLS certifications current or obtained within specified timelines.
• PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience; certifications required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a 14-bed Critical Care Step Down unit (7 West).
• Deliver EKG interpretation, central line care, and advanced respiratory support.
• Support bedside procedures and assist with emergent interventions as needed.
• Collaborate with PCNAs, interns, providers, PT/OT to coordinate care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking, time management, and effective delegation.
