Job summary
MetroHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) at the MetroHealth Main Campus. You will provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients, perform EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures within a 14-bed unit.
The role requires current Ohio RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS, with PRN candidates needing 1 year of RN experience.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
- Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
- PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
- PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients in the 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West).
- Perform EKG interpretation and central line care.
- Assist with bedside procedures (endoscopies, bronchoscopies).
- Manage care for patients with complex needs including BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and ventilator support.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and time management in a fast-paced environment
