Job summary

MetroHealth’s Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West) in Cleveland area is seeking an experienced RN. The role involves direct patient care in a 14-bed unit, with rotating shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a), rotating weekends and holidays, and close collaboration with care teams.

Qualified RNs must have Ohio licensure, BLS within 90 days, ACLS within 6 months, and at least 1 year of RN experience for PRN. MetroHealth offers strong benefits and ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
Current ACLS certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
PRN requires 1 year of relevant RN experience
PRN must possess all required certifications upon hire

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a 14-bed Critical Care Step Down Unit (7 West)
Perform bedside procedures and assist with endoscopies and bronchoscopies as needed
Interpret EKGs and monitor continuous telemetry for critical patients
Collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, OT for comprehensive care
Demonstrate critical thinking, delegation, and effective time management in a fast-paced unit
