Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for PRN day shifts within Respiratory Therapy Services. The ideal candidate will hold NBRC RRT credentials, possess state licensure, and current BLS certification.

A BSRT is preferred and advanced facility certifications may be required. Responsibilities include oxygen delivery, ventilator management, diagnostic procedures, patient education, and documentation.

Competenze

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy; Associate's degree required; BA/BS or higher preferred.
• Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC; licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner/RT in the working state.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers through the American Heart Association required.
• Advanced certification per facility/department.

Mansioni

• Demonstrates knowledge of oxygen delivery modes and equipment; conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures.
• Administers, monitors, and documents therapeutic procedures; performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates and manages mechanical and non-invasive ventilators; understands critical care duties and effects.
• Evaluates current therapies using judgment and protocols; makes recommendations for plans of care and patient education.
• Documents therapy and results; communicates with the healthcare team.
• Performs and evaluates blood sampling with awareness of results and treatments.
• Works independently across patient care areas; proficient in electronic medical records in Respiratory Care.
• Follows safety guidelines; completes regulatory requirements and proficiency evaluations.
