Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver and monitor respiratory care in a hospital setting. You will operate mechanical and non-invasive ventilators, perform diagnostic procedures, and document therapy for effective patient care.

The role requires an NBRC-credentialed RRT, licensure in the state, and BLS certification, with a focus on safe, high-quality patient outcomes in various care areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
• Associate degree in respiratory therapy required; BA/BS or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor mechanical and non-invasive ventilators; ensure adequate oxygenation.
• Administer and monitor prescribed respiratory therapies and procedures.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results per policy.
• Document therapy and communicate results to the care team.
• Provide care in emergency settings and manage blood gas analysis.
