Job summary

Henry Ford Health Novi Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time midnight schedule (7pm–7:30am), 36 hours per week. The role supports critical care patients in Intensive Care Units, performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostics and providing life-support and therapeutic interventions.

The department emphasizes collaboration with physicians, patients, and colleagues, documentation accuracy, and supervision of students and externs.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
• AS degree minimum or BS in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years' experience in a tertiary hospital.
• Registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current Michigan Respiratory Therapist license or license within 90 days of graduation for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Deliver life-support, resuscitation, and medical gases therapy to critical care patients.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for Intensive Care and General Practice Units.
• Maintain clinical expertise and provide support across various business units as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with patients, co-workers, and physicians regarding patient care needs.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and supervise respiratory therapy students and externs.
• Complete necessary and accurate patient billing information.

Education

Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy

Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
