Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, IA is seeking a Critical Care RN to provide skilled bedside care on the unit. This full-time position offers day/night shifts, with new increased hourly rates and a $15,000 sign-on bonus, plus shift differentials for nights and weekends.

You will perform admissions and transfers, conduct systematic assessments, document accurately, interpret labs and telemetry, transcribe orders, respond to rapid events, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit.
• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment.
• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Competence in Rapid Response and code events.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
