Job summary

Gift of Hope coordinates organ allocation from deceased donors through the national system and assists in machine perfusion of kidneys. This full-time role includes 12-hour on-call rotations and collaboration with transplant centers to ensure compliant allocations.

Ideal candidates have a health-sciences degree with at least 2 years’ RN/EMT/Paramedic/CST experience, sterile technique knowledge, and strong computer skills to document and communicate efficiently.

Qualifications

• Degree or certification in one of the health sciences with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as RN, EMT/Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist or CST.
• Experience interpreting lab values, diagnostic testing and medical terminology.
• Experience with sterile technique and basic computer use.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate organ allocation via OPTN/UNOS policy with transplant centers.
• Assist in hypothermic machine perfusion of deceased donor kidneys.
• Document allocation efforts in Gift of Hope EMR and use DonorNet for donor information.
• Communicate required clinical information to staff and administrators.
• Participate in training, mentorship and quality initiatives.
