Job summary

New England Donor Services seeks an experienced ICU RN, Critical Care RN, Trauma Nurse or Critical Care Respiratory Therapist to join as a Donation Coordinator. You will respond on-site to donor referrals, evaluate donors, manage care, and assist with organ allocation and recovery in a high-stakes environment.

Orientation starts January 2027 at our Waltham, MA location with a mix of on-site training, day shifts, and extended travel across New England.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years clinical experience/critical care experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred CPTC Certification a plus
• Ideal candidates live within an hour of Boston, MA
• Must have valid driver’s license and insurance; extensive driving throughout New England
• Travel to hospitals across New England required

Responsibilities

• Respond on-site to organ donor referrals to provide clinical expertise in donor evaluation and management
• Support organ allocation and organ recovery processes
• Educate hospital staff on the donation process and consent with families
• Collaborate with multiple surgical teams and critical care staff to optimize organs for transplantation
• Attend the January 2027 Donation Academy orientation and participate in ongoing trainings
