Job summary

New England Donor Services seeks an experienced ICU RN, Critical Care RN, Trauma Nurse or Critical Care Respiratory Therapist to join as a Donation Coordinator. You will respond on-site to organ donor referrals, provide clinical donor evaluation and management, and support organ allocation and recovery.

Training begins with a Donation Academy orientation in Waltham, MA, followed by ongoing specialty training.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years clinical experience/critical care experience and a Bachelor's Degree preferred CPTC Certification a plus.
• Ideal candidates live within an hour of Boston, MA.

Responsibilities

• Respond on-site to organ donor referrals to provide clinical donor evaluation and management.
• Educate hospital staff on the donation process and obtain family consent for donation.
• Collaborate with multiple surgical and critical care teams to optimize organs for transplantation.
• Travel throughout New England for donor-related duties; mileage reimbursements provided.
• Participate in a structured donation academy orientation and ongoing training.
