Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care using the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—in a university medical center setting.

The role requires one year of RN experience, a Texas RN license, and CPR. ACLS/PALS/TNCC-ENPC certifications are expected within specified timeframes. A BSN is required and bilingual abilities are preferred for effective communication with diverse patients.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Texas RN license.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• ACLS is required to be obtained within 6 months for Cath Lab, CVICU, ED, Electrophysiology, Endoscopy, ICU, Medical Surgical ICU, Neuro ICU, Operating Room, Recovery, Telemetry, Surgical/Telemetry, Vascular Access.
• PALS is required within 6 months for Cath Lab, ED, Electrophysiology, Endoscopy, Operating Room and Recovery.
• TNCC or ATCN is required within 1 year for ED, ICU, Medical Surgical ICU, Neuro ICU and Recovery.
• ENPC is required within 1 year in the ED.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on clinical practice standards.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired outcomes.
• Support the organization’s vision and mission and consider patient age and cultural diversity in care.
