Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. You will deliver nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, directing essential care, and applying clinical standards. The role requires Texas RN licensure and CCU experience; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Three years of critical care ICU experience.
• Current Texas or compact RN license to practice in Texas.
• Current CPR certification.
• ACLS within 6 months of starting.
• PALS within 6 months for Endoscopy, Emergency, Cath Lab/IR, OR, Recovery, ASC.
• TNCC or ATCN within 1 year for Emergency, ICU, IMCU, Neuro ICU and Recovery.
• ENPC within 1 year for Emergency department.
• Nationally recognized nursing certification in working area required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care with established clinical standards.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
• Support organizational vision and mission and address age/cultural diversity in care.
