Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• One year of experience as a Registered Nurse is required, preferably in acute care.
• Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas is required.
• Current BLS training is required.
• ACLS training to be completed within six months of being in the department.
• NRP training to be completed within six months of being in the department.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and desired outcomes.
• Utilize knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity in the provision of patient care.
• Contribute to quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques with positive outcomes.
