Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver patient care through the nursing process and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient safety, and quality outcomes in a busy hospital setting.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an active Texas RN license, and BLS. ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months; TNCC or ATCN within 1 year; CPI and ENPC within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Current and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS training must be completed within 6 months of entering the department.
• PALS training must be completed within 6 months of entering the department.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• TNCC or ATCN certification must be obtained within 1 year of the department.
• CPI course must be completed within 1 year of the department.
• ENPC course must be completed within 1 year of the department.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for patients based on standards.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Utilize knowledge of patient age and cultural diversity in care provision.
• Contribute to quality improvement efforts with positive patient outcomes.
