Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures.
• Procurement of equipment and supplies during emergency situations.
• Observe, collect, and document patient information and report changes promptly.
• Provide care and treatments as outlined in plan of care including vital signs and basic procedures.
• Assist in admission, orientation, and discharge of patients and families.
• Provide direct personal care for activities of daily living as needed.
• Reinforce routine teaching and distribute patient education materials.
