Job summary

Responsibilities include education, care evaluation, implementation, leadership activities, comprehensive patient assessment, planning, and ongoing research awareness. Licensure as an NC RN and BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in North Carolina (NC)
• BLS for Healthcare Provider
• One year of nursing experience

Responsibilities

• Education - Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs; attend education programs.
• Evaluation of Care - Identify expected outcomes; participate in interdisciplinary evaluation of patient care.
• Implementation - Demonstrate care for patients with complex problems; perform bedside point of care testing; follow standards and procedures.
• Leadership - Develop goals for professional growth; participate in unit goals and performance improvement; promote cost-effective care.
• Patient Assessment - Recognize data to determine priorities; assess and anticipate discharge needs; engage families in advocacy.
• Planning - Collaborate with patient/family; use multidisciplinary resources; address cultural/ethnic issues.
• Research - Read journals and bring ideas to staff for assessment of applicability
