Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience or completion of UC Irvine Medical Center ICU orientation in this unit.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with staff and healthcare team to coordinate care, delegate patient care activities, and provide leadership to ensure high-quality, safe care.
• Develop and implement teaching and discharge plans for patients and families.
• Mentor students and new nurses and act as a Patient Care Coordinator as needed by supervisor.
