Mission Hospital is seeking a Clinical Professional Development Specialty Educator to enhance professional practice and patient care across its division. You will bring deep specialty nursing expertise and deliver evidence-based educational programs for nursing and inter-professional staff in the identified setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Master's degree in nursing is preferred.
• 2+ years of clinical education experience required.
• 3+ years of acute care hospital experience required.
• 3+ years in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• Current license appropriate to education in state of practice required.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Specialty certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center required.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provides and assists with orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention through the division.
• Conducts orientation in a positive learning environment.
• Participates in development, coordination, and management of facilitating, conducting, and evaluating competency.
• Identifies learning needs of the identified specialty staff and develops activities to address deficits.
• Plans educational content with learner engagement.
• Assesses practice gaps.
• Collaborates with the clinical education team to evaluate and adjust programs based on evaluations and feedback.
• Participates in lifelong learning.
• Utilizes novice to expert continuum when developing staff.
• Monitors practices against laws/regulations and communicates KPIs for the clinical education service line.
