Zusammenfassung

Mission Hospital is seeking a Clinical Professional Development Specialty Educator to lead specialty nursing education across the division, delivering evidence-based programs and promoting professional competency for nursing and inter-professional staff.

In this role you will develop, coordinate and evaluate training, assess practice gaps, and collaborate with the clinical education team to optimize patient care, safety and outcomes. Renewal of certifications may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years clinical education experience required.
• 3+ years acute care hospital experience required.
• 3+ years in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• Current license to educate in the state of practice required.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Specialty certification as recognized by the ANCC required.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

• Provides and assist with orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
• Conducts orientation to facilitate a positive learning environment and evaluates competency.
• Identifies learning needs and develops activities to address deficits or opportunities for improvement.
• Plans educational content delivery with learner engagement.
• Assesses practice gaps and collaborates with the clinical education team to adjust programs.
• Participates in lifelong learning and utilizes a novice to expert continuum.
