Mission Hospital in Hickory, NC is seeking a Clinical Professional Development Specialty Educator to enhance nursing practice and patient care across divisions. The role leads evidence-based educational programs for specialty staff, supports onboarding, and partners with the clinical education team to improve competency and performance.

The position requires a BSN, a MSN preferred, 2+ years of clinical education experience, 3+ years in acute care, licensure in the state, BLS, specialty

Qualifications

• Experience delivering evidence-based nursing education.
• Ability to assess learning needs and gaps.
• Competency assessment and program evaluation.
• Active nursing licensure in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates orientation/onboarding programs to promote retention.
• Delivers and evaluates education for specialty nursing staff.
• Plans educational content with learner engagement and measurable outcomes.
• Identifies learning gaps and develops targeted activities for improvement.
• Collaborates with Education leadership to update programs based on feedback.
• Supports lifelong learning and applies novice-to-expert development for staff.
• Monitors practice compliance and reports KPI for the education service line.
