Job summary

Mission Hospital in North Carolina seeks a Clinical Professional Development Specialty Educator to advance specialty nursing education and competency across the division. You will lead orientation, develop educational content, and evaluate programs.

The role requires a BSN, MSN preferred, 2+ years in clinical education, 3+ years in acute care hospital, and travel up to 75%. Licensure, BLS, and ANCC specialty certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years clinical education experience required.
• 3+ years of experience in acute care hospital required.
• 3+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• Currently licensed as appropriate to education in the state of practice required.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Specialty certification as recognized by the American Nurse Credentialing Center required.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provides and assist with orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
• Conducts orientation in a manner that facilitates a positive learning environment; participates in development, coordination, and management of competency.
• Identifies learning needs of the identified specialty staff and develops activities to address deficits or opportunities for improvement.
• Plans educational content with learner engagement and evaluates outcomes.
• Collaborates with the clinical education team to evaluate and adjust programs based on feedback.
