Job summary

Responsibilities include coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers; developing patient care plans; collaborating with physicians and families; and ensuring safe, effective nursing care across units.

Qualifications

• RN with at least 2 years of critical care experience.
• Current Florida RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications.
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates to promote timely patient placement and discharge.
• Collects comprehensive health and unit data for care planning.
• Develops and prioritizes patient care plans with patient/family.
• Implements care plans with nursing and physician orders.
• Ensures safety, cost effectiveness, and quality of care.
• Participates in peer interviewing and reviews.
• Monitors progress toward patient outcomes and improvements.
• Coordinates plan of care through leadership and delegation.
• Educates patients and families on care needs.
• Performs hourly rounding and accurate handoffs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
