Job summary

AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking RN staff for the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Full-time, day shift. Eligible candidates may receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a relocation incentive up to $5,000.

Opportunities for salary increases up to 20% through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience and development. The role requires critical care skills, documentation in EMR, and collaborative patient care.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of RN experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.
• Excellent organization and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• Ability to provide leadership, direction, and solve complex problems.
• Performs accurate documentation within the electronic medical record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
