Job summary

Air Methods CBS in Murphysboro, IL seeks a skilled RN with 3+ years of recent critical care experience to join our clinical flight crew. You will provide high-quality care, assist with pre-mission checks, and ensure safety and documentation throughout transports by helicopter.

Required certifications include RN license and BLS/ACLS/PALS; flight experience is a plus. The role involves on-call duties and potential travel as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current RN license.
• Minimum 3 years of recent critical care or emergency nursing experience.
• Flight experience is a plus but not required; willingness to train is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope from initial contact to handoff at the receiving facility.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation and ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in pre-mission liftoff checklists and assist pilot as needed.
• Adhere to safety standards and conduct aircraft safety briefings as required.
• Act as a flight resource for neonatal/pediatric patients when transporting specialty cases.
• Engage in ongoing education, training, and participation in meetings and committees.
