Job summary

Air Methods CBS in Florence, AZ is seeking an experienced RN to provide high-quality critical care during helicopter transport, with 3+ years' recent critical care/emergency nursing experience. You will participate in pre-mission briefings, maintain licensure, and support ongoing education and safety programs for a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last five years or as required by state/local EMS regulations.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience is not required but is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within scope of practice and maintains thorough patient care documentation.
• Maintains competency through ongoing activities and communicates educational needs to supervisors.
• Demonstrates proficiency with equipment and maintains aboard supplies and aircraft cleanliness.
• Attends pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings and completes necessary documentation.
• Assists in pre-mission liftoff checks and supports pilots with radio/navigation observations.
• Performs as a flight resource for neonatal/pediatric patients and conducts approved advanced procedures.
• Participates in patient follow-up and outreach/education activities.
• Acts as a preceptor and participates in orientation of new staff and students.
• Participates in Air Methods CBS meetings and projects.
