Job summary

Air Methods CBS is seeking experienced registered nurses to join the clinical flight crew in Blythe, CA. You will provide high-quality critical care during helicopter transports, assess and triage patients, and adhere to medical director guidelines while supporting ongoing education and safety.

You’ll participate in pre-mission briefings, ensure equipment readiness, and maintain documentation. A minimum of 3 years in critical care is required; flight experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience within the last five years or as required by state/local EMS regulations.
• Flight experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice and maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training and education; track licensure, certifications, and safety training.
• Demonstrate proficiency with equipment and supplies; report failures and ensure supplies onboard aircraft.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings/debriefings and assist pilot with communications and safety procedures.
• Serve as a flight resource for neonatal/pediatric transports and perform approved advanced skills.
• Engage in outreach, education activities, and orientation of new staff as assigned.
