Job summary

Air Methods in Murphysboro, IL seeks an experienced RN to join the Critical Care Flight Team, delivering lifesaving care during helicopter transport. You will assess, triage, and treat patients under CBS Medical Director guidelines while supporting ongoing education.

Requires a Bachelor’s or higher in health-related field and at least three years of recent critical care or emergency nursing; flight experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with active RN licensure.
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum three years of critical care/emergency nursing experience within last five years.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care and transport coordination per CBS Medical Director guidelines.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation from initial contact to handoff.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings; assist pilots and crew as needed.
• Ensure safety standards and proper operation of medical equipment on board.
