Job summary

Air Methods CBS seeks an experienced RN for critical care transportation, delivering care in high-stakes helicopter transports in Texas. The role emphasizes assessment, triage, and treatment under Medical Directors’ guidelines while maintaining documentation and safety during the mission.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of recent critical care or emergency nursing, is capable of working flexible hours, and can participate in ongoing education and aircraft safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred but not required.
• Minimum three years of recent critical care/emergency nursing within last five years.
• Pre-hospital experience preferred.
• Flight experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care during transport and assess patient condition.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings.
• Ensure equipment and supplies onboard are ready and functional.
• Follow safety standards to protect crew and patients.
